Anna Chioti

Dr Anna Chioti, MD with a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health is Director of Operations of the Department of Population Health since April 2015, as well as Head of CIEC since April 2010.

She is specialized among others in preventive medicine, public health and environment, nutrition and clinical research. Her previous experiences include experience in the pharmaceutical industry where she managed medical affairs and initiated and coordinated local and international- industry and investigator initiated studies.
After 3½ years of medical practice she joined the pharmaceutical industry to focus on clinical research (cardiovascular medicine and oncology area). She is currently the operational Director of the DoPH and is also heading the CIEC where she manages a clinical research team and numerous clinical research projects, in the field of oncology, nutrition, diabetes or cardiology.

In 2014, she has received the Award for Advancing Public Awareness in Clinical Research (ACRP, San Antonio) and has also been awarded for her Outstanding Contribution to Luxembourg Healthcare and Life Sciences Community, during the Luxembourg Health Summit.
