Dr Marc Schlesser is a pulmonologist at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. He completed his medical studies at the University Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) with a specialisation in pulmonology at the Erasme University Hospital from 1990 to 1995.
Dr Schlesser has a special university diploma in endoscopy from the University of Marseille and Aix en Provence in 1997. He has obtained a certificate in medical management from the ULB Public Health School in 2010.
Former collaborator of Erasme University Hospital, of the Academic Ziekenhuis V.U.B, and of Marseille’s University Hospital de la Conception de l’Assistance Publique, Dr Schlesser is currently pulmonologist at the Centre Hospitalier Luxembourg since 1997.
His clinical activity is in pulmonology with a specific interest in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis, thoracic cancerology, sleeping diseases, non invasive ventilation and pulmonary high blood pressure.
Dr Schlesser is supervisor in pulmonology for German medical students from Rheinland Pfalz (Germany) and supervisor in general medicine for medical students from the University of Luxembourg. His research work focuses in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary cancerology.
Currently vice medical director of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, and member of the administrative board of the National Health Laboratory, Dr Schlesser is former head of the pulmonology service at the CHL, former member of the administrative commission of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg and former president of the Luxembourg’s society of pulmonology.
