Eitan Rubin

Head of Bioinformatics, WIN Consortium; Associate Professor, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel)

Prof. Rubin is a biologist, with a B.Sc from Ben-Gurion University in the Negev and a PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Since 1992 he uses bioinformatics to analyze biological data with computational tools. Prof. Rubin previously worked in a bioinformatics company (Compugen) and managed two bioinformatics cores (at the Weizmann Institute of Science and Harvard University). Currently, his research focuses on advancing precision oncology through multi-dimensional analysis of advanced data sources (mostly NGS-derived), specializing in the application of modern data-sciences tools to understand the biology behind the differential disease progression. Prof. Rubin works mostly in collaboration with experimental teams, both improving their ability to utilize experimental results as well as develop a hypothesis for further experimental investigation.

Prof. Rubin is a PI at Ben-Gurion University and Head of Bioinformatics at the WIN Consortium.

Why WIN

Cancer research has become the first line of Precision Medicine; WIN opens a way for me to become a part of a medical revolution.
