
Finn Cilius Nielsen
Professor and Head of Centre for Genomic Medicine, Rigshospitalet (Denmark)
Prof. Finn Cilius Nielsen, MD, PhD has a longstanding background in RNA biology and clinical molecular biology. His research has been focused on the understanding of gene expression and cancer biology. In 2010 Finn Cilius Nielsen established Rigshospitalet’s Centre for Genomic Medicine. The Department is currently one of the largest providers of genomic analysis in Denmark with a focus on precision medicine and integrative cancer diagnostics as well as WGS analysis of rare diseases.
Finn Cilius Nielsen is former Head of the Danish Medical Research Council and member of the NOVO Foundation Committee for Natural and Medical Sciences and currently chairman of the Alfred Benzon Foundation.
