Kerri Gober
Associate Chief of Staff, Discovery, American Cancer Society (USA)
Kerri Gober is the chief of staff in the Discovery Research team at the American Cancer Society. She provides strategic leadership by overseeing projects for the Chief Scientific Officer, including strategy, development, and implementation of research collaborations and external partnerships.
Kerri works closely with the Extramural Discovery Science Team & the Center for Diversity in Cancer Research Training to develop the pipeline of oncology researchers through training beginning at the high school level. A champion for population science research, she serves as an ambassador/participant for the VOICES of Black Women Study, a new national initiative aimed at engaging 100,000 Black women in a longitudinal study focused on cancer risk and outcomes in Black women. She is a fierce advocate for this work through her professional role at the ACS, but also through her active involvement in several community organizations focused on health,
educational, and economic equity. She was recently featured in Cancer Health 25 as a champion of health equity and people who power clinical trials.
Gober enjoys building relationships and creating strategies to strengthen partnerships in support of cancer health research. She is dedicated to working across the healthcare, research, and policy ecosystems to identify opportunities for collaboration that will help promote crosscutting initiatives that achieve the ACS mission of ending cancer as we know it, for everyone.
