Dr Mohammed Ussama Al Homsi graduated from Medical colleague at Damascus university, Syria on 1975. Did my post graduate training in Germany in the internal medicine from 1979- 1985 and gained my “Facharzt” specialist in internal medicine. Travelled to Doha /Qatar and started my work as specialist in internal medicine in the Hamad General Hospital (HGH) in May 1985. In August 1991 joined the Hematology and oncology section at HGH as a specialist, then promoted to consultant in the same section in 1996; then promoted to acting chairman of the hematology/oncology in 2004 until date. Gained certificate of ESMO on 2006. Finished a fellowship program in the IHI (institute of health care improvement) in Boston USA in September 2016. Promoted to chairman of the hematology and oncology department on 2016 until 2019. Then promoted to Deputy Medical Director in Quality, Medical Education, and Medical Research. My subspecialty is Lung cancer, Head, and neck cancer and Genito-urinary.
