Naftali Z. Frankel, MS, MBEE, is a health care entrepreneur, biotech consultant, patient advocate, and bioethics lecturer. His areas of expertise include patient-centered health care, precision medicine, biotech innovation, digital health, regulatory affairs, and clinical trials access. As part of his extensive patient advocacy work, he strives to empower patients faced with critical medical decisions with research and analysis of scientific data, optimal available therapeutics, access to clinical trials, and leading specialists. In addition to being a Johns Hopkins University adjunct professor lecturing in Bioethics to graduate students and a published author, he is Director of Precision Medicine Innovation at CMR, a non-profit medical research organization, and has been appointed as an advisor on various national committees, including Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Advisory Committee, Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC), National Quality Forum Cardiovascular Standing Committee, American Heart Association Citizen Scientist Think Tank, and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)-Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR) Collaborator Team. He has also represented the perspective of consumers and patients as a peer reviewer for PCORI, Commonwealth Fund Breakthrough Health Care Opportunities Committee member, and Panelist at the National Academy of Sciences workshop on Real-World Evidence Generation and Evaluation of Therapeutics.
