Dr. Said Dermime is a highly experienced senior Cancer Immunology and Immunity scientist with over 30 years of expertise in academia and research. In 2015, he joined as Director of the Translational Cancer Research Facility at the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR) at Hamad Medical Corporation. He also holds an Adjunct Associate Professor position at the College of Health and Life Sciences (CHLS), Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Currently, he holds a Clinical Professor Position
of Biomedical Sciences at the College of Health Sciences, Qatar University. Before this, he was appointed to various positions in different institutes, such as Lead of the Lymphoma- Cancer Vaccine Team at the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research, Christie Hospital, Manchester (UK) (Sep 1998-Dec 2002); Senior Scientist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh (KSA) (Dec 2002-Oct 2008); Department Chairman in Department of Biomedical Research at Dasman Diabetes Institute (Oct
2008-Oct 2012); Lead of the Department of Biomedical Research at King Fahad Specialist Hospital Dammam, Dammam (KSA) (Oct 2012–May 2015). 

He has in-depth knowledge of designing therapeutic and prophylactic strategies and evaluating them in preclinical and clinical studies, where he developed complementary approaches concerning immunological assays of tumor immunity and cancer vaccines. He has been a significant contributor to several scientific discoveries. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles in high-impact factor journals.
