Being an expert in the field of Integrative Oncology, Dr. Chen’s research interest is focused on clinical trial and experimental study for gastrointestinal cancer, including molecular basis study on different Chinese medicine syndromes “Zheng-syndrome” and translational study and drug discovery in natural products and their role in tumor microenvironment. In the past years, Dr. Chen got various research funds from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. Major research projects of the three-year action plan for the development of the Chinese medicine industry in Shanghai, etc. Recently, his research was supported major program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has successfully finished these projects, obtained provincial first prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Award and published over 100 publications in English and Chinese in his research areas.
