Significantly Improve Lives through cancer clinical trials and translational research
SWOG Cancer Research Network is a global cancer research community that designs and conducts publicly funded clinical trials. We've been around since 1956, and have saved more than 3 million years of life by testing new treatments, new prevention strategies, and new ways to care for those who survive cancer.
SWOG is one of the five network groups that make up the National Cancer Institute’s National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN), designing and conducting NCI-sponsored and approved clinical trials for adults with cancer. In addition, SWOG supports non-federal studies through the Hope Foundation–based SWOG Clinical Trials Partnerships and its Preferred Partnerships Program. Its mission is to improve lives through cancer clinical trials and translational research.
