The central mandate of VCR Park is to create a one-of-its-kind ecosystem that accelerates translational oncology.
VCR Park engages national and international stakeholders who address various aspects of the cancer care value chain. The representation of stakeholders in the VCR Park ecosystem will drive organic collaborative thought processes and accelerate the development and equitable access to novel and advanced products and services that can improve diagnosis and clinical management of cancer. This is a unique model that draws upon the excellence of various organizations, which otherwise face several challenges for effective collaboration.
Vision: To develop India's first Translational Oncology Hub and virtual platform for cross-disciplinary interaction.
Mission: Create a physical and virtual ecosystem that facilitates the activities of diverse organizations in the cancer care product development value chain and enhances their efficiency.
Objectives:
• To manage small- to large-scale consortium level translational projects through the combination of our state-of-the-art R&D and pathology labs, the national network of clinical sites, and the virtual cancer collaborative platform.
• Develop a cancer focused consortium by leveraging our partnerships with relevant organizations involved in discovery, development, clinical trials, commercialization and funding in India and emerging markets.
• To expand into a world-class campus that supports the future of innovation in cancer R&D – “The vibrant and expansive VCR Park”.
o Create a cross-functional facility, including core wet-lab, data analytics, training, business, legal, investment, and mentoring services
o Integrated infrastructure with shared multi-omics, pathology, bio-repository, IT, AI, and clinical services
o Enable population-wide clinical studies and advanced clinical trials in collaboration with a national network of partner hospital(s) and global partners/sponsors.
o Identify and promote discovery and early-stage ideas by providing professional guidance and access to seed investments
o Provide world-class training for graduates and executives in the area of bio-entrepreneurship
